Hanging wall art can sometimes be a big guessing game. It is hard enough to figure out where exactly on the wall you want to hang your new piece, but on top of that you have to know exactly how far apart to spread the nails so that they will perfect catch the brackets of the back of the frames. There is a great new tip I just came across online to help you decorate your walls effortlessly! In the past, I have basically used the eyeball method and hoped for the best. I have had a pretty good success rate, but the times this method has failed me have been disasters where I end up leaving a hole in the wall that you can see above the artwork, or I have left multiple holes that end up merging to make one giant hole that prevents me from hanging a picture in that perfect spot anymore (unless I take the time to patch the hole). Now, I can skip all of that mess with this simple tip. Place your frame upside down on the floor. If you are doing a photo collage, place the pictures in the exact layout you want them on the wall. Place a piece of wax paper over all of the frames and make a mark exactly where the all of the nails should go. Now, hang the wax paper on the wall where you want to hang the pictures using your markers, rip off the wax paper and hang your art! Viola! So simple!
