I have always struggled with reaching the top shelf. I am not that short, but even in the grocery store the other night, I found myself quickly using the lowest shelf to give me a little lift to be able to grab the salsa on the top shelf. I just came across this idea of integrating sliding steps that would allow you to reach the top without putting yourself in danger. I know that a little step ladder would do the trick, but having to go get the ladder just doesn’t seem worth the hassle (that might just be me). I would rather jump, or step on the bottom shelf to reach what I need quickly, rather than taking the time to go find the step ladder, set it up, grab what I need and then put it away. This shelving unit would solve everything. Once we build our new garage, I’m lining all of the walls with these! I can’t believe this idea of turned lower shelves into usable steps hasn’t become a household staple item. Paint them a fun color, and line the back of each cubby with a fun pattern, and they will be both beautiful and functional!
It’s the little things in life that make me so happy!
