Pure Style has some of the most amazing before and after shots of their home. As she mentions in describing her home, everyone they talked to, including their real estate agent, tried to talk them out of buying this place. I think I would have had the same reaction, but by looking at their after shots, you can see they had a vision for this home no one else loved. I am not even sure if I would have walked into this house to give the inside a shot (but, then again, I don’t know the asking price etc.) Here is the picture from when it was listed on the market.
With some simple landscaping fixes, paint and a well placed trellis, the entire look is transformed into this:
And the front door even had a simple yet great facelift:
While this transformation is amazing, the remodel goes so much further. The love they put into this house really shines from what you see inside. The shot of the entry way might be one of my new favorites in general. The before shot almost looks like a sad apartment complex stairwell. All that awfulness makes the after shot all that more dramatic:
The living room and kitchen are both equally amazing. I love this entire project…and I love it even more because it inspires me to dig deep to find beauty. It’s not always on the surface, but this project proves it can always be found!
The window treatments are a perfect solution to breaking up such a long wall. Also, hanging them from the ceiling to the floor really elongates the wall space making the ceiling look a little taller.
Hope you liked this makeover as much as I did!
