Get to know the Beachy Style!
Here are 3 tips to add some beachy into your home now
#1 To get that light and airy look, use fabrics that exude that feeling such as linens and cottons. These natural fibers breath well and drape beautifully. You can use these fabrics all throughout the house from headboards to throw pillows.
#2 Give the space an unstructured look. Stay away from strong linen and overly tailored pieces, and instead, opt for long flowing drapes and slipcovered sofas and chairs. A foolproof way to create that relaxed, easy-breezy feel.
#3 Keep the color palette soft. Stay away from stark whites and dark blacks, and go for ivory, off-white, and tan. For your pops of color, think about the colors of the beach (naturally!). Blues and greens always look great in these spaces.
If lean more towards black and white instead of tan and ivory, your style probably leans a little more toward Scandinavian. Using the same distressed woods, natural fabrics and light and airy feel of the beachy style, switch out the off-white colors for white and introduce a few black and white accessories like a rug and pillows.
